According to the PSOE, the municipality of Torre Pacheco stopped collecting in 2007 more than 51.2 million euros, 59 percent of total revenue from 87.2 million municipal budget, managed by the government team People's Party.
The Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson, Mariano Garcia said that a final budget of 87.2 million Euros, will be admitted 36 million euros, (41 percent), according to data generated by the consistory intervention services on the status of budget revenues in 2007.
Garcia said that in recent years the municipal government People's Party has downgraded million square meters and has sold hundreds of thousands of square meters to developers at very cheap price to pay in the long term.
"And now we find that not even been raised by 1 percent of expected revenues."
The finding and the lack of income, mostly from the sale of land, "is the result of inefficient economic management of the City Council.
Mariano Garcia says it is causing particular damage, because not only are delaying investment, but there are even struggling to pay current expenses.
That money is missing from city coffers to pay for many associations, suppliers and small businesses who are going through bad times and that the City "is stifling."
The default rate is even more alarming in the collection of anticipated revenues from the sale of urban land use or lots from the 10 percent who are forced to give developers in the rezoning and partial plans.
Here the municipality of Torre Pacheco stopped collecting in 2007 over 22.6 million euros, ie 99.15 percent of total revenue of 22.8 million total budget.

The PSOE warn of the poor economic situation "that has led the Popular Party and asked the mayor to help families, workers, small businesses and associations, taking action and focusing their efforts on raising the money we have, which is all pachequeros. "
Moreover, Mariano Garcia added that the Socialist Group will not support a new tax increase.
In this situation, Garcia demanded that the mayor and his administration to implement measures and start saving by example by lowering the number of councilors who are paid regular assignments.
Currently there are ten aldermen People's Party that charge and none of the opposition parties.
