Independent Party and PSOE reach a government agreement in Torre Pacheco (09/11/2015)

The agreement will result in a document entitled "Agreement for Change, Progress and Stability in Torre Pacheco," which will be signed tomorrow at noon by Antonio Leon Garre (PITP) and Juan Salvador Sanchez Saura (PSOE), after the presentation in the General Register of the City of the censure motion that will culminate with the election of Mayor Antonio Leon as Torre Pacheco.

The last four months have confirmed that the current government, led by the mayor, is not a government project for our town.

Political inaction, no ability to reach agreements, and the lack of information to opposition groups has highlighted that nothing has changed regarding the attitude that since 2003, the City has plunged in economic disaster and political as Torre Pacheco in a state of general discouragement in which there is no room for believing in a better future.

The allocation of the Mayor, Fine Marin, is the latest episode in a way to manage that has nothing to do with the maintenance of the general interest and pachequeras pachequeros.

In this situation, PSOE and Partido Independiente, from responsibility, and democratic guarantee that citizens gave him in the last election, formalized tomorrow, Tuesday November 10, the filing of the motion of censure and the signing of the framework agreement and government that will culminate with the election of Antonio Leon Garre (PITP) as mayor of Torre Pacheco.

The agreement seeks to respond to the main challenges facing the town, with concrete measures to reduce debt, reviving the local economy, combat social inequality and the City open to public participation and the social and cultural fabric.

A total of 78 commitments that will be evaluated by a monitoring committee, which will meet regularly to make recommendations and to ensure compliance with the agreement.

As delegations assumed by each of the groups, independent assume the departments of Personnel, Internal Affairs, Local Development Culture, Sports, Education, Youth, Employment, Education, Municipal Services, Parks and Gardens, Via Public Planning, Environment Environment, Rural, Celebration and Volunteer, plus the Mayor.

The Socialists, meanwhile, assume the departments of Finance and Budget, Procurement, Heritage, Communication, Management Innovation, Safety, Transportation, Traffic, New Technologies, Social Services, Equality, Citizen Participation, Decentralization and Transparency, along with the spokesperson the government team.

Both formations have expressed their satisfaction with the agreement reached at a historic moment where citizens demand dialogue, unity, transparency, participation and commitment to people who are at the forefront of public institutions.
