HIDROGEA, in coordination with the City of Torre Pacheco, has undertaken the renovation of five parks and gardens of the town: Constitution Park, Lali and Doña Doña Lolín, The Pasico, Doctor Ramón Arcas and La Loma de Roldán.

In total 11,500 m2 are gardens, where they have installed new water irrigation infrastructure, modernizing the irrigation system controlled by programmers, in order to regulate their operation according to needs and schedules, optimizing irrigation sprinklers.

This has been renovated 4,000 linear feet of pipe and 305 rotors, a system that allows a saving of 30% compared to conventional systems.

Similarly, HIDROGEA installed smart meters (i-meters) in these parks, which allow the daily consumption by using a computer application.

Thus, in case of damage or breakage of the irrigation system will skip an alarm that warns of this issue, allowing immediate action.

Finally, we proceeded to seeding grass and planting of new tree species.

The regeneration of these five green areas is the beginning of a series of actions that will allow the implementation of the Green Infrastructure Network Torre Pacheco, where the rest of the parks and gardens, street trees alignments, extensive green spaces include and natural areas of the municipality.

Also HIDROGEA complement these actions by planting 706 trees, corresponding to high in paperless billing 2013. This campaign, launched last year, the company agrees to plant a tree for every high on digital bill.

With this the company aims not only to raise awareness on the responsible use of resources and respect for the environment, but to recover lungs and create green areas in our city.

HIDROGEA Services and the Department of Public Highways, Works and Municipal Services, and Maintenance of Municipal Parks and Gardens Public Buildings, call on the population will cooperate for the maintenance and upkeep of these facilities renovated, taking care of the environment, respecting the green spaces and communicating incidents observed in any park or garden of Torre Pacheco.
