IU-Greens Torre Pacheco today demanded the mayor, Daniel García Madrid, and José Saura councilors and Santiago Merono to return the legal costs that have been funded under the municipal budgets.
Both the ruler and the mayors, all the PP, they had to leave his post on Wednesday after the Superior Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) of the Region of Murcia condemn them to ten years of ineligibility for continued crime of trespass.
The IU-Greens councilor in the town, Francisco Ramón Martínez, stated that their training will do "everything in its power" to convicts return to city coffers the money spent on his defense at trial.
In this regard, he recalled that the judgment states that those convicted should repay legal costs even if they decide to appeal to the Supreme Court (SC).
In addition, the mayor has extended its request to the City Controller, Miguel Pérez, also convicted under the same case, as an accomplice to six years and six months' disqualification.
"It can not continue their audit work in the City," stressed Martinez, for whom the auditor "should be removed or paragraph while the TS solves the resource, if the present, in order to avoid any shadow of doubt on future actions of the council. "
Martinez recalled that Perez was already convicted of trespass, disabled as mayor of Fuente Alamo and later pardoned in 2010 by then Minister Francisco Caamano socialist, who conditioned the clemency application to intentional crimes not committed for two years.
