This morning was brought activity "EM-TORRE-PACHECO PINA", an initiative framed within the Top-Evolution Project, a project for local development and improvement of innovation and research in Torre-Pacheco.
This activity is for the citizens of Torre Pacheco participate in creating a forest of Aleppo pine in the area of ​​the old radar Torre-Pacheco, helping to form the first lung urban setting, reducing CO2 levels in the atmosphere, improving the mobility of the municipality and its environmental quality.
This project is funded by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund), the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, and transversally the activity involves the Planning Department, the Parks and Gardens, the of Environment, Education and Training, the Citizen Participation and CIFE (Center for Integrated Agricultural Training and Experience Torre-Pacheco).
Everyone who wants to plant a living and contribute their share to create a forest of pine trees, you can go on Sundays 16 and December 23 from 9:00 to 14:00 at the old radar located in Torre-Pacheco Road Torre Pacheco at Balsicas.
There are tools to facilitate all citizens to plant a pine and you put the name they wish to track and in the future.
In addition, students of CIFE Torre-Pacheco contribute their experience in this center guides acting citizens, explaining how they have to do to plant a pine in this area of ​​over 100,000 square meters.
The thousand Aleppo pines to be planted were donated by the Department of Environment.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, the Town Planning, Meroño Santiago and the Director of CIFE Torre-Pacheco, Anastasia Bafalliut.
