This morning the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, with Eusebio Martinez Diaz, CEO of the Partnership for Family, have presented a partnership agreement under the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction for the development of actions and programs health education and drug prevention among young people and families in the municipality.
Thanks to this agreement for Family Life Association will develop along this year in the municipality, activities that addressed the prevention of drug addiction from the family, school and leisure.
The activities are:
Training courses on drug prevention for parents.
Family Guidance Service for direct assistance to families with children with behavioral problems.
Tutoring session sharing on "drug prevention", in ESO and Training with direct involvement Guidance departments and teacher training.
Tele Patio program that aims to contribute to values ​​education and the Prevention of Drug Addiction in children, developing creativity and originality through media.
Participation in outreach activities.
To this end, Municipal Services Institute for Social Action of the City of Torre-Pacheco (IMSAS) provide to the Association for Family the amount of 7,000 €.
The programs carried out with the Family Action Partnership have been developing since 2009 with the launch of the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction.
This plan aims to prevent and reduce drug use in our town, focusing on the factors and causes of it, promoting a change in social attitudes towards drugs and promoting healthy lifestyles.
The Association for Family is an NGO which has among its objectives, promoting health and preventing substance abuse in the family and education, channeling their actions through schools and other social groups and actively participate in the City of Tower Pacheco in the Municipal Development Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction.
