The Torre-Pacheco Town Council has been developing since October 2009, the "50 Fit-Employability Project and Prevention's Health largest long-term unemployed", funded under the Lifelong Learning Programme by the Directorate General of Education and Culture of the European Commission.
The project aims to promote a set of best practices and innovative initiatives related to improving lifelong learning and employability among older than 45 years of long duration.
Specifically, it seeks to gather and present material and methods of teaching and learning, models of good practice and personal experiences related to the inclusion of health promotion in the training process and (re) entry into the labor market long-term unemployed.
Along with the city of Torre-Pacheco, are members of the project nine organizations dedicated to training and employment of 5 European countries: Spain, France, Germany, Poland and Bulgaria, all belonging to the European Network for Social and Labour Disadvantaged Persons Network (REIN).
As part of this initiative is scheduled to launch on November 15, 2010 of a health module led to 15 people living in the city and unemployed for more than 12 months.
This activity, part of the itinerary of labor insertion of the recipients themselves, will last for 8 hours in 6 sessions during the mornings, and will be held in the multipurpose room of the new Health Centre "Antonio Cózar" of Torre-Pacheco.
The contents will be offered by a group of health professionals (doctors, nurses and physiotherapists), coordinated by Dr. Cristina Ramírez Tirado, who cooperate voluntarily with the Project.
