The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by the councilor of Urbanism, Alberto Galindo has visited the works of conditioning of the street Camino de las Gilas, street Pintor Sánchez Picazo and a stretch of Cartagena street.
The municipal architect, Teresa Talaya, as well as members of the government team, and municipal technicians, have also visited the works, included in the 2017 Works and Services Plan.
The councilman of Urbanism has indicated that "this work is being carried out within the framework of the Plan of Works and Services 2017, a plan co-financed by the Autonomous Community and the City Council of Torre-Pacheco, likewise, has pointed out that it has a price of adjudication of 55,782.82 euros, a very important work, Galindo commented, since it is very close to the urban area, and in which the pavements are being prepared, making them accessible, complying with the new regulations. , has pointed out that this work has been submitted to citizen participation, being one of the most voted, and therefore the City Council, within its needs, has deemed it convenient to carry out this work of conditioning.
The work, according to Talaya, "consists in the remodeling of the Camino de las Gilas and the surrounding streets", who explained that "in the Camino de las Gilas a sidewalk is going to be parallel to the course of the ravine, pointing out that in this work is going to implement a new system of public lighting, led type, in order to check its operation, and decide its implementation throughout the municipality, likewise, has explained that it will provide accessibility to an important section of the Calle Cartagena, which currently has some deficiencies, proceeding to the renovation of sidewalks, including all urban services, street lighting, potable water, telecommunications, making all sidewalks 100x100 accessible, complying with the new regulations.
