The Department of Social Services, through the Senior Program organizes various workshops in order to offer a space for coexistence among our elders, as well as giving them the opportunity to develop social skills, as well as creative and above all healthy.
Zumba, crafts, esparto, painting, are among many other workshops that take place both in the Day Center of Torre-Pacheco, as in the Senior Centers throughout the municipality, and involving more than a hundred older .
In addition, the Senior Program organizes cultural trips, talks on prevention and health, as well as other topics of interest to this group;
competitions are also held, such as poetry for the elderly, or photography "Orgullo de abuel @ s and niet @ s";
and the biweekly radio program "Recuerda con Nosotros", which just turned 25 on the air, is coordinated.
