On the morning of today, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento has welcomed the reading of the institutional declaration, by the Councilor for Equality, Verónica Martínez, accompanied by the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, members of the Municipal Corporation, associations of women, students of secondary education, and neighbors of the municipality.

"Today, we once again vigorously demonstrate our absolute rejection of gender violence, while reiterating our obligation to work until it is eradicated." There is no act more despicable than aggression against a woman simply because she is Therefore, our cry of condemnation and rejection against those who attack, denigrate, mistreat and kill women must be vigorous. Thus, began a manifesto that invited reflection and social awareness, hundreds of people filled the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

the 23 underage sons and daughters who have lost their mother and the 7 children who have been murdered.

November 25 is not just a day for reflection, it is also a day for action.

With this manifesto, the City Council of Torre-Pacheco joins all the voices that, from any point of the planet, condemn all types of violence against women, demanding a firm and clear commitment from the whole society to join our forces against this social scourge

This year the campaign is aimed mainly at the younger audience, through a very visual campaign, and with clear, direct messages, so that at the end of the manifesto a performance has been represented, in which a young couple, lived moments of violence of gender, a girl in love, happens to be abused woman, and that in the end takes the reins of the situation and is able to leave the horror and ask for help.

"Let's fight for a Society where words win with love, insults do not convince, where love grows with effort, does not impose itself by force and where wanting to be free is the way to Happiness", thus ended the institutional manifesto "November 25, 2017, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, of the Torre-Pacheco City Council.
