The Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the local formation and development councilors, Conchi Martínez, and Rosalía Rosique, as well as the UPA Murcia Secretary of Agriculture Antonio Moreno wanted to welcome the 25 participants In the course of "Manipulator of Fruits and Vegetables" that takes place today Monday 24 and tomorrow July 25 in the House of Radio, Torre-Pacheco, with a total of 10 teaching hours.
This training action, subsidized by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment together with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, is given by UPA (Union of Small Farmers and Cattlemen of the Region of Murcia) and organized in collaboration with the Town Council of Torre-Pacheco.
A total of 25 people, mostly unemployed, participate in this training action that enables the performance of jobs related to the agricultural sector, and specifically those that require the handling of fruits and vegetables.
The objective of the course is to develop the processes of manipulation of edible fruits and vegetables, using the most appropriate techniques in order to optimize the processes of transportation, reception, handling, storage, packaging, conditioning and preservation of the productions, from the field to its laying in the market.
This training will complete the one held last June, to obtain the official card that enables the use and manipulation of phytosanitary products, 25 hours in person, and was carried out by a total of 16 students, of which 15 of them Obtained the corresponding Card after passing the evaluation test that they had to carry out at the end of the course by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment.
