Among the measures that have been implemented in this year of government, through the Department of Social Services and Equality, the City of Torre-Pacheco, is the creation of a Housing Office.
The Councilor for Social Services, Veronica Martinez, stressed the importance of this service, which aims to serve neighbors who suffer the most from the economic situation of recent years.
The services offered by this Office of Housing are:
• Mediation Service: Facilitating the good coexistence between tenant and rest of neighbors either in communication of owners as in neighborhoods.
• Economic aid: Management of aid Both autonomous and local.
During the 2013-2016 housing plan, more than 250 grants have been approved for rent in the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
In addition, in the new regulation of social benefits of the Town Hall of Torre pacheco includes a heading destined to aid to the rent.

Since the operation of our office, more than forty evictions have been handled and paralyzed, many of them with the option of social rent and debt forgiveness.
