The socialists of Torre Pacheco value this action of the Central Government that will be destined to the equipment, materials and waterproofing to minimize the effects of the floods.
The PSOE of Torre Pacheco has classified as great news before the end of the year the Royal Decree approved by the Government of Spain with which it is going to regulate the direct granting of subsidies for the development of pilot plans to promote adaptation.
Risk of flooding in existing buildings, equipment, facilities or farms in the municipal area of ??Torre Pacheco.
Our municipality will receive a total of € 500,000, adding a total of 3 million euros in the region with similar investments in Los Alc zares, San Javier, Cartagena and San Pedro del Pinatar.
This pilot action program will be compatible with other subsidies or aid, from any Public Administration and the € 500,000 corresponding to Torre Pacheco will go to different actions.
Among them is the acquisition of equipment or materials such as temporary or permanent barriers, bilge pumps, non-return valves and other elements, in addition to waterproofing or redesign of facades, construction or improvement of walls perimeter, protection or sealing of gaps (windows, ventilation grilles, installation skirts ...).
The protection or transfer of vulnerable facilities (electrical panels, boilers, fuel tanks ...) and other works that make it possible to improve adaptation to the risk of flooding of existing facilities and buildings and increase their resilience.
From the PSOE of Torre Pacheco they celebrate this important subsidy that "will help us to minimize the impact of future floods after in recent years serious damage has been frequent in our municipality."
