Improvements in roads damaged by DANA (19/10/2020)

In addition, it has revealed the collaboration of almost 30 owners, whom it has thanked for their generosity since altruistically they have made land available to the Community so that these works can be undertaken.

The Minister of Development and Infrastructures, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, presented today the new investment package to improve the regional road network on the road that connects the pachequera district of Balsicas with the municipality of Los Alcázares (RM-F26).

Likewise, he explained that the work on the RM-F26 includes the widening of the platform, the reinforcement of the road surface, the implementation of transversal and longitudinal drainage works for the road, and the renewal of vertical and horizontal signaling.

This action, which will take place over a section of about two kilometers, will have a tender budget of 1,064,649 euros.He announced that it is also planned to act on the road that communicates Torre Pacheco with San Javier (RM-F29), in which the road surface and the drainage will be rebuilt in the section that goes from kilometer point 5 to 10.3, of which highlighted that it has an average daily traffic intensity of 2,213 vehicles.

The counselor indicated that the initial investment planned for this work "is the largest and amounts to 1,244,506 euros." Díez de Revenga explained that the action on the road that connects Torre Pacheco with San Javier (RM-F29), in which the road surface and drainage will be reconstructed in the section that goes from kilometer point 5 to 10.3, from which highlighted that it has an average daily traffic intensity of 2,213 vehicles.

The counselor indicated that the initial investment planned for this work amounts to 1,244,506 euros.In addition, he recalled that his department has already recovered in recent months a total of 8 roads that run through the municipality of Torre Pacheco and that have involved a regional investment of 350,000 euros "to which now 2,309,155 euros are added more for repair two new tracks ".The Autonomous Community will invest more than 4 million euros to repair six new roads damaged by DANA in Abarán, Cartagena, Ojós, Torre Pacheco and Ulea.

The tenders for these works are already underway, and are part of the regional plan to solve the floods in the Region of Murcia.

In addition to ensuring people's safety, these investments will serve as a "catalyst for economic activity" to help alleviate the effects of the crisis caused by the pandemic.This regional investment is in addition to the more than 5.6 million euros of equity that the Autonomous Administration has already used to recover 78 regional roads since last year, which run through 23 municipalities (Abanilla, Abarán, Águilas, Alguazas, Alhama Murcia, Archena, Blanca, Campos del Río, Cartagena, Cieza, Fortuna, Jumilla, Lorca, Mazarrón, Molina de Segura, Mula, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Torre Pacheco and Villanueva).
