Torre Pacheco celebrated Environment Day with an initiative through social networks and with the planting of trees (08/06/2020)

Last Friday, June 5, World Environment Day was celebrated, with the motto "The hour of nature", a slogan with which citizens are asked to listen to the messages sent by the planet.A virtual meeting was held from the Department of the Environment of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, to share ideas and activities to take care of the environment with the family, from 6:00 pm live on the Facebook of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, and with the participation of dozens of people who interacted with Marta Vivancos and Yasmina Martínez.In addition, the residents of the district of Meroños and Rotary Club planted a hundred trees in front of the Schools of Meroños, a commitment to promote local sustainability.Likewise, the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, members of the Municipal Corporation and residents of Los Meroños, observed a minute of silence, last Friday, June 5, on the last day of official mourning for the victims of the coronavirus.
