| Alma Pedreño, from 1st ESO of CCE Virgen del Pasico, has won the prize for the best speaker in English nationwide | His speech revolves around learning and overcoming the loss of his grandfather.More than 250 students have participated in the 8th Edition of the National Public Speaking Contest Fundación Educativa Activa-t.
They came from 31 schools in Madrid, Castellón, Mallorca, Valencia, Alicante, Zaragoza and Murcia.The online final was held in a live broadcast on the Foundation's YouTube Channel.
On Saturday May 16 the jury has announced the winners.
A total of 22 students managed to reach this last phase, that is, the best speakers from each province in each of the categories.
Three students from CCE Virgen del Pasico have participated as the best speakers in the Region of Murcia: Eduardo Gómez, senior in Spanish, Miguel Baños, junior in Spanish, and Alma Pedreño, junior in English.Speaking has changed his lifeAlma Pedreño Madrid is 12 years old, studies 1 of ESO and has spent a year in the Aula de Debate.

One day when I was in high school two boys from the Debate Room came to my class and asked if anyone wanted to sign up, I raised my hand and said I want to.
And thank you I managed to get to these two simple words ", says Alma very excited after knowing that she had won the award.The student also highlights the great learning in recent months and the collaboration with other classmates.Her speaking experience is brief but fruitful, she participated in the CCE Virgen del Pasico Oratory Contest in February where she was also a winner in English.
