The City Council has extended the voluntary collection period for Vehicle Tax, from May 5 to the new date of June 12.

Likewise, a 2nd Quarter Garbage Tax exemption has been established for hospitality, retail and small industry, with an expected economic impact of € 38,000 on municipal coffers.

The collection of the occupation rate for public terraces has also been suspended for this year 2020, valued at more than € 40,000.

Likewise, the deferment and payment of taxes regulations have been relaxed to carry out plans adapted to companies and individuals with the aim of guaranteeing the liquidity of those who have been forced to cease their business activities.

The City Council also continues to face payments to suppliers, with an extraordinary Treasury Plan with which they can face the invoices issued by service providers with full guarantees.

Last week, the Local Government Board ordered the payment of € 727,000 in invoices, which will continue to be approved despite being declared a State of Alarm.

The City Council is also preparing, together with the social agents, the establishment of a Plan to Promote Trade and Local Hospitality by the time the confinement measures are finished, with the aim of providing the means and resources to the companies to face the exit with guarantees. of the crisis.

The Councilor for Finance and Communication, Carlos López, has stated that the City Council is acting quickly to establish shock measures, although he has nonetheless indicated that "the application of additional measures will be taken over the next few weeks, also following the indications and financial aid that may be established by the Government of Spain and the Regional Administration ".
