The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by the Councilor for Sports Oscar Montoya, has received in the City of Torre Pacheco Jesús García Pallarés, dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Murcia, with whom they have maintained a Working meeting, where they have discussed topics of interest to the municipality.

A meeting in which Javier Courel has been present, professor of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Murcia and coordinator of the Heal project, which takes place in Torre Pacheco.

The Mayor thanked the visit of the dean, highlighting the close relationship between the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the City Council through the Department of Sports, working collaboratively on several projects, such as the Heal program, in addition to offering infrastructure with the which counts the municipality, as is the case of the Municipal Velodrome, which hosted the practices of the Master of High Performance in Cyclic Sports.

For his part, the Dean, thanked the involvement of the City of Torre Pacheco, and the Department of Sports, in the Heal program, and in all sports activities, which are currently being developed.

In addition, he pointed out that it is the first time that a trainee student is carrying out the Practium Training Plan of the University with the City Council of Torre Pacheco.

Last Saturday, February 22, a practical session of the High Performance Master in Cyclic Sports was held at the Municipal Velodrome of Torre Pacheco, which the University of Murcia, from the Faculty of Sports Sciences of San Javier, performs together with professional athletes , among those who were, the pachequera Gloria Rodríguez, of Team Movistar.

The Heal project, has been developed in the municipality of Torre Pacheco, since last October, a program of physical exercise and nutritional supplementation specially designed to reverse fragility and promote physical activity among its residents, which has had the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Torre Pacheco.
