The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, has been in charge of welcoming and showing the municipal offices to the students of the Moate Business College Center, Country Westmeatrh, Ireland, who have been accompanied by the Director of IES Gerardo Molina, Mari Luz Granero, as well as students and teachers of the center.
The purpose of the Erasmus +, K-102 program is to boost job prospects and personal development, in addition to helping the education systems of the two countries to provide a broader teaching and learning, providing young people who participate in it of the necessary capacities for the labor market and current and future society, making their communication more effective, and learning some of the language in the process.
The young students at Moate Business College, Country Westmeatrh, are welcomed by families from the municipality and will work in the Tourism Office of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, in the G'S Group.
Spain, and in the shops El Cuco and in D2.

Their stay will last three weeks, and IES Gerardo Molina students, who have already completed the program in Ireland, have lasted 3 months.
During this time the students carry out their work practices and learn new work methodologies and acquire knowledge, which help them to continue to be trained work and socially.
They also establish contacts with companies in the area and know the region, its places of interest and customs - hence the importance of staying with families.
With this program, IES Gerardo Molina aims to foster a generation of future professionals, better qualified by knowing the demands of the European labor market, acquiring specific skills and improving the vision of the social, economic and labor environment.
