The Department of Tourism of the City of Torre Pacheco, presented one more year the tourist offer of the municipality at the International Tourism Fair, which was held from January 22 to 24 in Madrid.

A showcase, to show the cultural and tourist offer, and with the aim of energizing the economy and promoting tourism.

The presentation was made at the stand of the Region of Murcia, and was given by the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and Irene Méndez, who was responsible for explaining the event.

Also present were the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Raúl Lledó, the first deputy mayor, Mari Carmen Guillén and the Tourism technician, Cristina Aranda.

A presentation, which was echoed by the media and that featured the mobile unit of Radio Torre Pacheco, which moved to the Fair, to cover the activity live and transmit to all residents of the municipality, this important event tourist.

From May 1 to 3 will be held in Torre Pacheco, Geopacheco 2020 "Live the Neanderthal experience", in order to get more people to know the very important paleoanthropological site that we have in the Sima de las Palomas, along with the wild beauty of Cabezo Fat;

Geocaching is an activity focused on finding hidden objects in a place.

Thus, every time you move to look for one of these objects, you also discover a new place, a corner, its surroundings, its people, its history ... not only because you are there, living it and experiencing it, but because each hidden treasure includes a link on the website of the game, which can provide us with information or data (historical, geological, biological ...) about the place you are visiting.

In this way, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Geocaching Levante Association, wanted to offer both the local community and visitors to the area the opportunity to discover Torre Pacheco through this new form of tourism.
