The original plan of the estate that Mr. Francisco Melgarejo had in Roldán, a document of great historical, patrimonial and documentary importance, as commented by the mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, made by the agronomist Pedro Lozano, shows the Treasury Valderas, formed by the main house, and details of the land, as well as existing plantations.

The General Directorate of Cultural Property, through the Restoration Center of the Municipal Archive has restored this topographic map dated April 30, 1872. Esther Marcos, restorer of the General Archive of Murcia, has exposed the secrets of the long and complicated restoration process , in an interesting and didactic exhibition.

The Topographic Map is part of the Documentary Fund of the Municipal Archives of Torre Pacheco, and it is a plan printed on paper, made with mechanical pulp of poor quality wood and large format, measuring 169 cm high by 120 wide .

The state of conservation of the plane was very bad, due to a series of factors that have influenced its deterioration such as the paper's own manufacture, the environmental degradation it has suffered (humidity, temperature and light) and a previous restoration.

The restoration treatment was carried out after a period of analytical tests necessary to be able to safely determine the damages and their possible treatments.

And as Marcos has stated, the restoration process consisted of the elaboration of an identification card, initial photographs, complete elimination of all previous restoration, mechanical cleaning, washing and deacidification, wet cracking, drying, reintegration of lost areas, color reintegration, lamination, mounting on new frame and final photographs;

a process that has lasted more than a year.
