The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León and the president of the "Dar de Sí" Foundation, Manuel León, have signed a collaboration agreement, with a financial contribution of 12,000 euros for the realization of social actions that attend and promote the collective of People with disabilities.
An act that has been attended by the Councilor for Social Services, Maria José López, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation.
The activities to be carried out by the "Dar de Sí" Foundation, established in this Agreement, are specified in the execution of a Family Respite Project, on weekends, holidays and holiday periods throughout the year, (the beneficiaries of this service they will go during the rest of the week to the day center, special employment center, ...) contemplating the needs of the group of people with disabilities of the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
The family respite service responds to the need of families of people with disabilities, informal caregivers, who with relative frequency show symptoms of physical fatigue, emotional exhaustion and feelings of guilt that wear down their abilities and negatively impact their health, that of people involved and in the evolutionary prognosis of the same disability.
This action is therefore presented as a way towards the promotion of family health on the one hand, and the personal growth and psychosocial development of the disabled or beneficiary.
