On Thursday 19, the government team held a meeting with a representation of the Association of Electric Vehicle Users, headed by its delegate in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Javier Martínez Abellán, with the aim of establishing a collaboration protocol for the promotion of electric mobility.
The City Council has also initiated the procedures for the installation of a recharging network for electric vehicles throughout the municipality, with which it intends to become a regional reference in this area.
The meeting was attended by Carlos López, Councilor for Finance and Communication, Alberto Galindo, Councilor for Urban Planning, and José Vera, Councilor for Environment and Heritage.
During the meeting, the project for the deployment of electric chargers that the City Council is developing was exposed, with the aim of placing recharging points in all the districts of the municipality and in the urban center, taking into account the demands of the users represented through AUVE-Region of Murcia, so that this deployment can cover present and future needs, guaranteeing neighbors and visitors the best user experience.
The Councilor for the Environment, José Vera, highlighted the fruitfulness of the meeting, as well as the intention to establish a formal protocol of collaboration with the Association to favor new initiatives in the field of electric mobility.
According to Vera, "both the installation of chargers, as well as the celebration of events or fairs that raise awareness of the capabilities and advantages of electric vehicles to the neighbors, are actions that we will take in the coming months so that Torre Pacheco can be located in the map of sustainable mobility in our region ".
