The Local Government Board of the City Council of Torre Pacheco, in ordinary session, held on May 14, 2019, adopted the agreement, at the request of the Mayor, to request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, General Directorate of Protocol, Chancellery and Orders, in accordance with the provisions of art.

7 of Royal Decree 2396/1998 of November 6, which approves the Regulations of the Civil Merit Order, promote the corresponding file for the concession of the Silver Cross of the Civil Merit Order to Cape 1º D. Pedro Antonio Andreo Martínez, based on the merits and circumstances that concur in this case 1st of the Civil Guard and that he has acquired throughout his professional career.

An event held at the City Council of Torre Pacheco, which was attended by the Mayor of the town, the honoree, the Chief Captain of the 4th Company of the Civil Guard, Manuel Gil, of the sub-lieutenant of the Company's Plana mayor, in addition of members of the Municipal Corporation.

The Mayor exposed the extensive merits that the 1st corporal has, since his entry into the Civil Guard in 1993, going on to serve in the Seprona Patrol of Torre Pacheco in 2003, until today, performing the tasks inherent to this specialty with great zeal and professional preparation.

For his part Andreo, thanked the City of Torre Pacheco for thinking about him to hold this recognition, in the same way that the Captain pronounced in the same line and highlighted the human and professional quality of the First Cape of the Civil Guard, Pedro Antonio Andreo , qualities that make it worthy of this Silver Cross of Civil Merit.
