Last Sunday took place the act of denomination of the Center for Road Education of Torre Pacheco, located in the Comprehensive Security Center, "Salvador Martínez López", a recently retired local police officer.
An emotional act, chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, who was accompanied by the honoree, Salvador Martínez, the Provincial Chief of Traffic, Virginia Jerez, the mayor of the Puebla de Don Fabrique, Mariano García, friend of the honoree, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation, ex-mayors, such as Pedro Jiménez, as well as numerous colleagues, friends, family and neighbors, who wrapped up Salvador on this special day.
Antonio León highlighted the work, effort and dedication of Salvador Martínez during all the years he has been in charge of the Department of Road Education, always in coordination with the Provincial Traffic Department.
Thanks to this work, the City Council of Torre Pacheco, is one of the regional references in the field of Road Education, both for his extensive experience, as for the illusion that he and all those who participate in these teachings, from the political class, the educational centers, the teachers and monitors, and of course the children, who are always delighted to have the presence in their classes of the Police for a theoretical session, or their visit to the Children's Traffic Park of Torre Pacheco, facilities that receive the name of Salvador Martínez in honor of his work for Road Education in the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
Virginia Jerez, provincial head of Traffic congratulated Salvador for his work for so many years contributing with his teachings to train young people in the field of Road Education, a bet decided at school age, which has resulted in Torre Pacheco being one of the municipalities with less accident rate in the Region, and even at the national level.
