Torre-Pacheco will have a new ambience for Civil Protection (28/09/2019)

The Volunteer Group replaces the previous vehicle once its useful life has expired after ten years of use, this will become a First Aid Mobile Unit.

Civil Protection of Torre-Pacheco will have in the coming months a new Basic Life Support (SVB) ambulance, which replaces the previous one, which has stopped operating as such, once the 10-year term stipulated by law has been met.

The new ambulance, whose tender is already on the public sector contracting platform of the Ministry of Finance (https://bit.ly/2nf6wZ4), has a total tender amount of EUR 57,051.50, is of the assistance type, It will be prepared for the correct care of the patients and is enabled to transport five emergency technicians plus the patient.

Interested companies may submit their offers until next 11-10-2019 at 3:00 p.m.

The Councilor for Emergencies, Juan Salvador Sánchez has said that "this ambulance, once equipped, will be prepared to offer an Advanced Vital Service (SVA) to the patient, that is, what we know as Mobile UVI, for this it must have at least , of a driver who holds the certificate of professionalism of sanitary transport, a nurse and a doctor ".

It is the only ambulance that has Civil Protection in Torre Pacheco.

The rest of the car park is completed by 2 VIRs and in the next few days it will have a Mobile First Aid Unit (UMPA) that becomes an emergency health post (offers assistance at the scene of the accident, but cannot transfer patients; This is the previous ambulance) and a motorcycle scooter.

The Volunteer Group currently has 30 volunteers, all with proper training (Civil Protection is an unprofessional body).

It covers all types of sporting, cultural and holiday events, as well as all types of emergencies.

When they have no service in Torre Pacheco, they collaborate in other municipalities.

"Virtually every weekend we go out to cover some activity, either in our municipality or in another", recalled Sánchez Saura.
