The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Moben', an investigation aimed at clarifying the removal of a bag and its contents in Torre Pacheco, which has resulted in the investigation of the complainant and alleged victim of the facts.

The respondent has been instructed as the alleged author of the crime simulation and fraud crimes.

He has also been seized the mobile phone he had reported as stolen and from which he had received compensation from an insurance company.

The proceedings began when the Civil Guard received a complaint from a young woman who said she had suffered the theft of her belongings in the urban area of ​​Torre Pacheco.

In the complaint he stated that, while walking through the town's urban area, he suffered the theft of his bag using the method known as 'pull', where he carried a smartphone and other personal effects.

Effective Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita, after knowing the facts, initiated an investigation to verify them and, where appropriate, clarify them with the arrest of their authors.

The investigations carried out made it possible to verify that the complainant and victim allegedly continued using the denounced mobile phone as stolen, although she had formalized a claim to an insurance company that compensated her with a terminal of similar characteristics and benefits to the allegedly stolen.

In addition, the civil guards detected a series of contradictions in the information provided by the complainant, so that a line of investigation was opened for an alleged crime simulation offense.

Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained, the Civil Guard has investigated the complainant, who has been instructed as the alleged author of the crimes of crime and fraud simulation, also seizing the telephone terminal that had allegedly been stolen.

The investigated, the effects seized and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).

Second case of crime simulation resolved in 48 hours

This is the second case of crime simulation that the Civil Guard clarifies in 48 hours in Torre Pacheco.

The operation 'Pismo' culminated two days before with the investigation of the complainant and alleged victim of theft, as well as of his partner, who had reported the removal of a bag containing a mobile phone.

Both were instructed as alleged perpetrators of crime simulation crimes and fraud

The Civil Guard informs citizens of the criminal responsibility that involves reporting criminal acts that have never been committed, as well as the damage caused by detracting police forces to investigate false crimes that, in addition, usually generate great social alarm among the population, mainly, when robberies are reported with violence.

The Criminal Code establishes that who, before any judicial or administrative official who has the duty to investigate, pretends to be responsible or victim of a criminal offense or denounces a non-existent one, causing procedural actions, will be punished with a fine of six to twelve months.
