Collaboration agreements with the Murcian Association for the Study of Paleoanthropology and the Quaternary, Villa de Torre Pacheco Trade Show Institution, the Peña Flamenca Melón de Oro, and the Pacheco Dolores Festival Commission, intended to contribute to the development of the municipality
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, proceeded to sign collaboration agreements with Associations and Collectives for direct grant of nominative grant.
All the agreements are contemplated in the Strategic Plan of Subsidies of the City council of Torre Pacheco, approved by this City council.
The Consistory has proceeded to sign agreements with IFEPA, the MUPANTQUAT Association and the Peña Melón de Oro de Roldán, as well as, with the Festera Association Festival of Dolores de Pacheco.
The Villa de Torre Pacheco Trade Show Institution will receive a grant of 40,000 euros, to collaborate in the development and dissemination of the various fairs organized by IFEPA, which occupy a prominent place in the national fairs, thus supporting the revitalization and economic, social and tourist progress of the municipality.
The collaboration agreement with the MUPANTQUAT Association, signed by its president, Michael John Walker, amounts to 20,000 euros, to cover the expenses caused by the study, research, promotion and dissemination of the Quaternary and Paleoanthropology at Torre Pacheco.
As well as, the annual realization of archaeological excavations in the Sima de las Palomas del Cabezo Gordo, which this year begin on July 19, and last until August 9, with a total of 20 researchers and being in front as directors : the professor emeritus Dr. Michael Walker, the professor Dr. María Haber, and the archaeologist Mr. Mariano López.
Also, the president of La Peña Flamenca Melon de Oro de Roldán, Mariano Escudero, has signed the collaboration agreement with the Torre Pacheco City Council, amounting to 100,000 euros, and that will go to the organization and development of organizational activities , promotion and development, around the International Festival of Flamenco Cante de lo Ferro, which takes place from July 19 to 28, and which this year celebrates its 40th edition.
For its part, the chairman of the Pacheco Dolores Festival Committee, Raúl García, has signed the agreement whereby the Association will receive 13,000 euros, as a contribution to the organization and development of the Patron Saint of Pacheco, which is celebrate the next month of September.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León has highlighted the great work of these associations and groups, valuing their work and purpose of "invigorating the cultural, social, economic life of our town," reiterating the City Council's commitment to partnerships and collective, which is materialized with the signing of these agreements.
