An act chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio Léon, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Raúl Lledó, and members of the Municipal Corporation, which was also attended by the General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Sport, Aturo Díaz, as well as, presidents of Federations of the Region of Murcia, among other authorities.
With the aim of rewarding the effort and sacrifice of the most outstanding athletes of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, this award ceremony is held annually, organized by the Department of Sports of the Torre Pacheco City Council.
A recognition to athletes, coaches, collaborating companies, local and territorial committees, which during 2017, obtained great sporting results, as well as collaborations with athletes and events.
The Jury awarded the Torre Pacheco 2017 Sports Merit Awards, according to the following categories of athletes:
