The Ministry of Defense presents the exhibition "National Defense: The permanent adaptation of the Armed Forces", whose inauguration will take place on October 1, 2018, at 11 am in the Exhibition Hall of the Torre Pacheco Municipal Library, with the presence of Mr. Antonio León Garre, Mayor- President of the Hon.

Torre-Pacheco City Council, and Captain José Ignacio Marti Scharfhaussen, Delegate for Defense in the Region of Murcia, staying open until October 19, from 9 am to 1.30 pm (Monday through Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, closed) and from 4 to 7 pm (only from 15 to 19).

The exhibition, organized by the General Technical Secretariat through the General Subdirectorate for Publications and Cultural Heritage and the Ilmo.

Municipality of Torre- Pacheco, and with the support of the Delegation of Defense in the Region of Murcia, offers a set of thirty-six images and eleven selected infographics of the book of the same title published by this general sub-directorate in 2014.

The Armed Forces are immersed in a process of modernization and permanent adaptation with the objective of guaranteeing National Defense before a world in continuous evolution, with potential enemies that are sometimes difficult to identify, asymmetric wars, terrorism, failed states, emerging scenarios - like cyberspace and new technologies.

Efficiently organizing this innovative defense architecture in a period of economic difficulties has forced to reduce administrative structures, centralize management, simplify working methods, prioritize skills and discard the underutilized heritage.

Both the book published and this exhibition intend to show the new structure of the Ministry of Defense and the Armies.

This enables Spain to form a Joint Force with new commands and capabilities to operate permanently, monitoring our spaces of sovereignty on land, sea, air and cyberspace, as well as deploy quickly anywhere in the world.
