More than 200 accredited Geopacheco have enjoyed the event this weekend at Torre Pacheco (02/07/2018)

The City Council of Torre Pacheco, through the Department of Tourism has organized this activity, which took place on June 29 and 30 and July 1, in collaboration with geocachers.

Geocaching is an activity focused on finding hidden objects in a place.

So, every time you move to look for one of these objects, you also discover a new corner, its environment, its people, its history ..., not only because you are there seeing and experiencing it, but because each hidden treasure includes a link in the website of the game, which can provide information or historical, geological, and biological data about the place that is being visited.

The City Council intends with this activity, to offer both the local community and visitors to the area, the opportunity to discover Torre Pacheco through this new form of tourism.

From the Department of Tourism, is working to get the municipality of Torre Pacheco, is a reference in the Geocaching Murciano, because with this joint work, allows us to raise the possibilities of the game to infinity, where the street furniture can be part of the hidden object, allowing its location in unusual places.

An extensive program of activities that began on Friday, June 29 at 5 in the afternoon with checking, and then the climbing workshop, an orientation test and at 23:00 Wherigo collaborative "Misterio del Molino".

On Saturday 30 activities were held throughout the day, highlighting, Geomatrix, Gymkana de Mysteries, which was the most competitive, practical workshop of Wherigos, routes to Cabezo Gordo and night activities.

On Sunday there was a guided tour of the Hermitage and Mill of El Pasico, children's drawing contest, role play "Life of the geocacher", and to finish the day was the award ceremony.

A weekend that has left in Torre Pacheco a LogBook of the most complete, where the participants have written the end of the story, and that can be visited in the Municipal Public Library of Torre Pacheco.
