A total of 22 young people from the Friends of Music Association of Torre Pacheco will make an exchange for seven days to the city of Verona, in Italy, through the program 'Erasmus + Youth'.
The Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León, accompanied by the mayor of Tourism, Rosalía Rosique Municipal, has received the young participants in the Project, as well as the board of the Friends of Music Association of Torre Pacheco, musicians and family.
An activity that provides an opportunity to bring together young people from different cultures and different languages ​​using music and its interpretation, in the knowledge of these cultures, teamwork, tolerance and knowledge of the other.
'Music as a tool between cultures' is a project financed by the Spanish National Agency and which has obtained financing of more than 16,000 euros.
It is an exchange that aims to improve skills in new technologies and promote the use of English as a universal communication language, improving the oral skills of the participants in this language.
Participants will have the opportunity to work on a musical project that will feature different activities such as an exhibition of posters and photographs related to the works to be performed, or a Spanish-Italian musical calendar, which will culminate with the completion of a great concert performed together.
For its part, the Friends of Music Association will host Italian young people in 2019 and will introduce them to the Region and its gastronomic, cultural and mainly to its people, performing a concert in the municipality as a result of two years of work.
