The book chronicles the adventures of a white collar theft in a residential house of Spain in mid-twentieth century.

The problem arises when Daniel, "The Melancholy", falls for Herminia in the time they are preparing the coup.

The operation is aborted and the two married.

We are faced with a work of humor, full of great gags and characters that come and go each keeping a dark secret.

Loaded with tangles and funny situations, frenetic pace and with that ineffable humor that is the hallmark of Jardiel Poncela.
