Citizens request the unfolding of the road linking Torre Pacheco with the Murcia-Cartagena highway (05/03/2018)

Miguel Sánchez: "Torre Pacheco has some communication channels of the last century and it is time for us to take measures to solve this problem"

The Committee on Territorial Policy, Environment, Agriculture and Water of the Regional Assembly discussed on Tuesday a Citizens initiative in which the orange formation has requested the unfolding of the RM-F14 road that links Torre Pacheco with the Murcia-Cartagena motorways and Alhama de Murcia-Campo de Cartagena, through the hamlet of El Jimenado.

Miguel Sánchez, regional spokesman for Citizens, recalled that Torre Pacheco is the eighth municipality with the most population in the Region of Murcia, "however, it has some communication channels that are typical of the last century since you can only access the population through regional roads and this circumstance is a serious inconvenience for the residents of Torre Pacheco who travel to Cartagena, Murcia, or any town in the municipality because they have to use secondary roads, many of which are in an unfortunate state of conservation "

In this sense, the spokesman of the orange training has lamented the negligence of the regional government when it comes to solving this problem.

"On September 28, 2012 the then mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, and the general director of highways José Antonio Guijarro announced the unfolding of this road within the connection project of the A 30 and AP7 from Torre Pacheco.

Again on January 24, 2014, Guijarro once again announced that the first phase of the highway project would be completed at the end of that year, but, to date, absolutely nothing has been done, with the consequent damage to neighbors".

"The realization of this work would allow adequate access to the Murcia-Cartagena and Alhama de Murcia-Campo de Cartagena motorways, which would entail a better connection with the Region and reduce the risk of a road in which numerous accidents have occurred. of traffic due to the large number of vehicles that pass through it, "concluded Sanchez.
