The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries will shortly bid for the construction of an environmental tank and a rolling pool in Torre Pacheco, with a storage capacity of 6,000 m3 and 60,000 m3 respectively, with a global budget of 3.4 million.
These infrastructures will make it possible to collect surplus flows from the sanitation network, which will be propelled to the municipal wastewater treatment plant for proper treatment and subsequent use in the irrigation of the area.
Councilor Francisco Jódar visited the municipality and explained that "this work will make it possible to collect, laminate and bring the first rainwater to the treatment plant, they will allow the existing rainwater collection network to be expanded and water to be overflowed from sanitation wells" .
All this, he added, to continue along the lines of "do not waste and avoid losing a single water".
Collector in Las Pedreñas
On the other hand, Francisco Jódar also visited the works that are being carried out for the construction of a general sanitation collector between the vicinity of the hamlet of Las Pedreñas to the junction with the hamlet of Casas de los Urreas of Torre Pacheco.
This new collector will come to complete the sanitation network of these districts, giving service to all the existing houses there.
The total investment of the action is 133,005 euros and will provide sanitation service to more than 200 new users.
