The Civil Guard arrests an experienced criminal for assaulting a business twice in fifteen days (24/04/2019)

The arrested, an experienced offender, is credited with allegedly committing the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation

In the first robbery he threatened the employee with a kitchen knife that he placed on his abdomen

After being brought to justice, he has been imprisoned

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation JOMASAMA, an investigation aimed at identifying, locating and arresting the author of two robberies with violence and intimidation committed in a commercial establishment of Torre Pacheco, which has resulted in the arrest of a Experienced offender who, after being brought before the courts, has been remanded in custody.

The investigation began on March 22, when the Civil Guard learned of the robbery of a Torre Pacheco store clerk, committed by a middle-aged man who, after intimidating the victim with a kitchen knife that placed on his abdomen, he seized a small amount of money.

The woman was not injured although she had to be attended to by the emergency medical services due to an anxiety crisis.

Two women tried to catch up

As this investigation progressed, the Benemérita learned that the same subject had returned to the establishment fifteen days later.

In this case, the employee blocked his way and pushed him outside the store while asking for help.

Several citizens came to his call, while the suspect was walking away from the place.

Among these, two employees from nearby businesses followed the fugitive who, faced with being persecuted, confronted both of them, so they had to give up having been warned that he could carry a knife.

The Civil Guard gathered the necessary information and inspected the place where the events took place.

In the first assault, the suspect was accidentally cut with the weapon he carried, leaving traces of blood on the counter of the trade and in the surrounding streets.

This biological material was collected for further analysis.

The investigative work continued until identifying an individual, 50 years of age and with a bulky criminal record who had spent a good part of his adult life in prison, so he was a stranger to his neighbors.

Operation JOMASAMA has culminated with the location and detention of the suspect as alleged perpetrator of robbery with violence and intimidation.

The arrested and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier, who has ordered his entry into prison.
