The Torre Pacheco Library among those selected and awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, in the María Moliner reading animation project competition in municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants
The project entitled "Weaving dreams with readings and writings" describes the reading activities that are being carried out in the Torre Pacheco Municipal Public Library.
The Councilor for Culture, Raúl Lledó, commented that the Library promotes equality of opportunities among citizens, the continuous development of knowledge, permanent education, and participation in literary, cultural and leisure activities.
The objectives of the project "Weaving dreams with readings and writings", are to encourage reading, promote communication, publicize the library and facilitate the integration in the community of people of different nationalities living in the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
The Municipal Public Library of Torre Pacheco has been recognized on several occasions for its reading animation projects in the María Moliner Convocatoria.
Likewise, with the prize received this year, the library will have € 1,706.66 for the purchase of books, depending on the needs and with the aim of completing the municipal funds, whose beneficiaries will finally be all the residents of the municipality.
Lledó has invited all residents to approach the reading in all its meanings and supports, pointing out that the City Council tries to publicize the possibilities offered by the library, trying to involve the entire population in the activities programmed for your enjoyment
